The Rest and Rejuvenation getaway package, available on Mother's Day Weekend May 6th to 8th or any other day of the year, begins with an early arrival on Friday to the Hartness House Inn. Your Mother will receive a deluxe room in our historical Main House.A Champagne and Fruit & Cheese Platter with a beautiful silk flower arrangement, hers to keep, will be waiting for her when she enters her room.
A Welcome Aromatheraphy Set with a plush Bathrobe will be laid out on her bed.
Once she has settled in, your Mother will be invited to sample our Afternoon Tea and enjoy home-made partries and desserts in front of the Library's Grand Fireplace.
On Saturday, full Country-style Breakfast will greet your Mother complete with freshly brewed coffee, home-made muffins, freshly squeezed juice, and a wide variety of breakfast entree choices.
After breakfast, our staff will help your Mother select an intinerary for Saturday. Perhaps she prefers to visit the art galleries of Woodstock, or visit the spa of Cavendish, or take in the shopping of Manchester.
Upon your Mother's return to the Inn, our Afternoon Tea service be waiting. Sample a glass of Sherry and relax with a book from a selection in the Library.
Saturday Evening dinner was worth the wait. Your Mother will be presented with a five-course gourmet meal served in the Governor's Room restaurant. The tables are all set with candles in crystal holders, double linen set tables with golden chargers. Dinner includes a bottle of wine.
After dinner, your Mother will be invited to relax and enjoy dessert and coffee in one of fireplace rooms. Perhaps, with an after-dinner drink if the mood is right before retiring to her room.
Sunday morning your Mother will be greeted with a Sunday newspaper and a fresh cup of coffee to start the new day. Our breakfast menu has a wide variety of breakfast favorites the she can choose from.
Take it easy on Sunday with a late check-out. We recommend a stroll along our nature trails. See the hand-made stone bridges, there are five in all on the Estate, covering the gurgling streams. Walk through the forest and meadows and you will probably see deer crossing your path. Breath in the freshness of the forest and the scent of the flora.
When its time to go home, the memories of this weekend will last forever.
