Room 6, The Charles Lindbergh Room

Romantic Vermont lodging Charles Lindbergh

Being here was like staying with a friend...perhaps like Charles Lindbergh, we will find that the "road leads often to the house of a friend".

"Pleasing as well as delightful!  We must tell our friends about our Vermont lodging secret."

This oversized room features an elegant King bed, with large windows on two sides overlooking the Hartness Observatory.   It  features a private bath with shower, antique writing desk with telephone and voicemail, large remote TV, DVD player, CD player and clock radio, and high-speed wireless B Internet.   The Hospitality Refreshment table is nearby.

Fit for America's true adventure hero, Charles Lindbergh stayed in this room in 1927 when he visited his friend, James Hartness in Springfield, Vermont.   Charles Lindbergh and The Spirit of St. Louis landed at Hartness' private airport, now Hartness Airport, in July 1927.  He was greeted by over 30,000 people eager to welcome him to Vermont.  The room is decorated with these and other photographs of Charles Lindberghand James Hartness
